7Artisans is a group of Chinese camera lovers who got together for dinner in the summer of 2015. They discussed their passions at the dinner table. Some people are interested in optical design while others are better at the operation of factory production lines. One of them is the fanatical Leica lens collector. Everyone involved came to the same conclusion: "If they use their skills and work together, they can create new high-quality original camera lenses." This is the beginning of this project. In the early stages, many different people joined the project and gradually formed the initial team. The road to achieving their goals is long and arduous. The story starts with testing prototypes and identifying problems to improve the design, as well as simplifying the assembly and identifying further problems. 7Artisans use these problem-solving opportunities to reinforce their existing ideas and propose new ideas.
