Alto Cinco is located at the Westcott Centre in West Racuse. The long-term mission of Alto Cinco is to produce healthy handmade foods with all the fresh ingredients. They first opened as a takeaway restaurant in May 1995. In 1999, the restaurant expanded to include a small seven-table bar. For years, its cozy restaurant has filled every night, feeling more like a West Village bistro than a Mexican restaurant in central New York. Finally, in 2014, they got the chance to expand next door. After months of renovation, they opened the door to a much-needed new extension. Last year was the restaurant's 20th anniversary.
