Located in Oceano, California, just three miles south of Pismo Beach, the Great American Melodrama first opened its doors in the summer of 1975 and has been in operation year-round since 1976. American Melodrama offers entertainment suitable for all ages, presenting high-quality musicals, comedies, and melodramas in a vibrant cabaret setting at affordable prices. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by the actors and escorted to their seats while live honky-tonk-style piano music sets the mood. The snack bar is open before the show and during intermissions, offering a variety of refreshments.
