D'Angelico Guitars is a New York City-based guitar brand that was established in 1932 and is based on the legacy of one of the most renowned luthiers of all time. D'Angelico guitars are exceptionally made, versatile instruments for the modern player, and they come in three series: Premier, Excel, and Deluxe. D'Angelico's mission is to honor its heritage while also providing forward-thinking instrument design for the modern player. The first D'Angelico Guitars store opens at 40 Kenmare Street in Little Italy, New York City. The shop was just big enough for a small business. Since D'Angelico's grand uncle Ciani, a well-known violin maker, taught him how to build instruments, D'Angelico instruments were typically made only by the man himself.
