Lamplighter Brewing is a Cambridge based distillery with two pub areas in the city. Lamplighter Brewing focus is on beers with a lot of flavor and aroma, particularly New England IPAs, barrel-aged sours, and seasonal specials. They don't shy away from funk, unique ingredients, and twists on tradition because they brew a variety of one off batches that allow them to pursue their various whims. They are incredibly grateful that they took the risk in 2015 and decided to lease the building to a start-up rather than sell it to a developer. In the fall of 2016, they opened their doors to the public. The majority of their beer is sold locally in crowlers, cans, and draft, and they also distribute it to a few nearby liquor stores, bars, and restaurants. Their second taproom opened in Cambridge Crossing, a retail and residential development just steps from the brand new Green Line Lechmere T Stop, in May 2022.
