Natural Choice is a brand division of H.B.S. Food Co., Ltd., established in 1990 and composed of three company directors who had worked in the edible nut industry for many years at the time. In 1994, the company moved from the Tipton plant in West Midlands to the new plant in Nigerton, west of Birmingham. Natural Choice is located near the motorway network, making it easy to sell across the UK. In 1999, a founding director of H.B.S. Foods Ltd. retired and the company was completely taken over by the Hopcraft family-a husband and wife team, and one of their sons later joined the team. Over the next few years, the company experienced growing pains and achieved BRC (British Retail Federation) 's successful "A" certification which attracted major grain companies, bakeries and reading food producers.
