oamrs is a provincial professional association representing Ontario's medical radiation science profession. They are the advocates and spokespersons of medical radiation technologists and diagnostic medical ultrasound experts recognized throughout the province. It was created by practicing members of the industry to represent and help the development of the industry, and to improve the standard of care for patients in Ontario. Under the leadership of the board of directors (volunteer industry professionals), its mission is to provide publicity, support and services to MRT and ultrasound technicians across the province. It is a non-profit organization that relies on voluntary membership and education services and other non-member fee-related income to meet annual operating expectations. In addition, oamrs uses MedicalImagingEd as its banner to provide educational programs, PLI and services nationwide.
