Simply Divine Things is owned by Kirsty. In 2011, they was in an accident that left them unable to walk and on bed rest for several months. They started making personalized bookmarks and small fabric pictures for their bedside cabinet out of sheer boredom and opened an eBay shop to sell them. They wanted to make more things for their then-toddler son's room because he was an inspiration. Since they didn't know how to use a sewing machine and didn't own one, they started making cushions by hand. They acquired a sewing machine and learned to sew with it as they improved and began to walk again.
