Since then, they have been working on a multi-event and endurance athlete community. In 2009, Gary Wallesen and his partners took over Portland's athlete lounge. Gary has created a space, not just a store-it's a training center for subway triathletes, and it's also an interconnected place. Gary hosted product demonstrations, sponsored athletes, and held training sessions to open up a thriving space for triathlon communities in the Pacific Northwest. Gary has observed the online operation of TriSports for many years. He knows he needs an online presence, but he doesn't have enough resources to do it. The concept of AtletesLounge.com was created by meeting with the management team of Velotech, the owners of BikeTiresDirect and WesternBikeworks.
