Weaver's Orchard began with Jacob and Lizzie Weaver. They are Delaware fruit growers, and their son Daniel bought the current estate in Berksshire. He founded Weaver Orchard in 1932 and had little idea what the orchard would look like. He grows fruit trees, berries and vegetables and sells agricultural products by truck on the street corner of Reading. At the time, this route was called the "Hakst Route", which meant that he was a common agricultural hawker at the time. Soon he started selling from the farm and turned Weaver Orchard on the road into a community destination. Weaver's Orchard Knowing that Daniel's son Allen has become a partner in this company, and as they sell agricultural products through farmers markets and farms, the company continues to grow.
